I have a mac now and I still think the adverts are sh**.
Snow Leopard comes with malware protection...and not for Windows malware either, so that "Top of the Line" advert is already on shaky ground!
As for compromise, you get that regardless of what you buy. With a mac you compromise on specification to get a nice OS (that currently likes to beachball quite a bit), but with a PC you can get great hardware, but come November you'll get a shockingly bad OS..or you have to download something 'nix based.

Yeah, I was less keen on the "Top of the Line" ad. The "Surprise" one did make me smile though.

I can't believe Apple are still turning these out. The concept was done to death ages ago.

Can't say I've seen any. I remember the I'm a Mac I'm a PC ads at the cinema, they were mildly humorous.

They have done 57 in total. (American versions) There has also been short runs of copies in Britain and in Japan. Also some "Web only" versions. (I have Youtube videos of them all preserved over at the forum at British Mac)

Yep, they are getting old. The smug one was really bad, especially as the malware thing now applies to Macs as well and Snow Leopard comes with limited AV software installed - it checks downloaded image files for know trojans...
The Surprise one was poorly made and fairly obvious what the punch line was going to be. (The mask reveal was really badly done)

Is it trojans in the plural Dave? Or just the one that is so far known to exist on the Mac platform? (I could have this wrong) I sit at the feet of the master to learn.

Thanks for that, it won't be the first time I have got it seriously wrong, it probably won't be the last.
