I looked down at my dock and thought that is a lot of apps running. I did not count the background apps like my UPS and I as up at 18. Is this normal?

Hmm, on which machines? I am setting up a new laptop for a manager, so it is sitting next to me chugging away doing installs, downloads and updates. My main laptop has about 18 apps open, including 3 RDP sessions onto servers, each running different tasks, from Active Directory listings, mail gateway status to anti-virus activity on the network...

6 different apps, although I've got multiple instances of each app running (& tabs etc), I'm also connected to 3 servers via remote desktop with 10 apps running on each.

Its a myth. Girls don't multitask. They just change their minds so often it looks like they are multitasking. *runs away faster..........................*
