Greatest ever (non-computer) game

There have been 76 nominations.
All games using playing cards (52) have been listed under one entry.

The groups for the heats have been randomly selected by Excel, so if all your favourites are in one heat.... tough.
Round 1 will have groups of 5 or 6 in each heat.
Round one is purely to sort the wheat from the chaff. You get two votes each and the top three go through. If you only want to use one vote (or none for that matter) you can.
In future rounds you'll only get one vote.

Another pie from me. I know of Subbuteo, but I don't think I've heard of the others.

*thinks: must be too old for this game*

Heh.

They're already there. Stuff like chess, draughts, Cluedo, Monopoly, cards...

When I were a young'un we couldn't afford fancy games like they can today. If it had to have batteries, it was too expensive. :D

Go to be Metro, a quick and "easy" strategy game that is good fun, but hard to master and requires thinking ahead to play it well.

Go is arguably older than any of those at over 2500 years.

I'm rubbish at it, but it's a fantastic game. It gets my vote.

I forgot which game Go was until after I voted. Any chance I can change my vote from Sorry to Go please?
