Who's got one? Who's upgraded to 2.2? What handset are you running? I wanna know if it's any good as I still refuse to have iTunes for Windows.

I have had a cupcake and a doughnut and an eclair. I have not had Froyo or indeed owned a linux based phone.

Gee thanks guys. I've had Froyo - in California no less. It was lovely. It still think Froghurt is a better name, but the girl in the store just thought I was quirky and British.
Anybody wanna tell me about phones now?

Sticks head above parapet and bites.
Got a galaxy portal, running 1.5- cupcake. Actually not bad. I can make phone calls - always useful, and can hold it when calling(sorry), a good selection of apps on the marketplace, browswr, mail and messages work well. Googlemaps is good. BBC news and endgaget feed. Bluetooth is crap, file transfer just doesn't work, but pairs with headset, this "should\" be fixed with an upgrade, but Tmobile just won't be drawn on a timescale, although it's out elsewhere. Video player, music and ebook reader fine for me, but not an audiophile. London tube map useful. Play jewels a lot.
Battery life OK, lasts a few days, but can flatten in a day or so If I use it a lot for games. Screen fine, touch response(capacitative) not quite as good as an ipod touch

There's nothing eventually about it. I wasn't sure if Mark wanted me to, or not. But I'm in a [LIFTED] mood today, so couldn't bring myself. Thanks JJ. As for the info, thanks Mike. What were you using previously and do you have the option to upgrade to Froyo? Would you get another droid?

Previously just had a bog standard mobile. Didn't think smartphones generally were up to it until now.
I would have another andriod phone - or a tablet - I feel pretty content with what it does. I should have the option to upgrade at least to eclair, perhaps further. With Tmobile and they are not quick with firmware upgrades it seems (from thier forums). Might hack on an upgrade, but still waiting for the official upgrade for a while longer. Losing patience though.

Ooh, please do. A friend of mine just bought an X10 and I really didn't expect girlies to want Linux based phones. She was all, "It's really cool!" They must be getting something right with the software, which is why I'm interested.

Got an Xperia X10 running 1.6 (because... well.. they do) and aside from some pretties it's not much different to my G1.
Then again i've not been using the Xperia much because it's died (common fault with them it seems, they stop wanting to be charged... silly things).
If you've not got Android yet it's well worth it. If you've got an Android handset and want to upgrade to another Android handset... just look at the hardware you'll be getting. Also bear in mind that it's freaking AWESOME that once you sign in you've got all your contacts etc =D It's the little things in life...

Its says:- Firmware Version2.1-update1 Baseband Version32.30.00.28U_4.05.00.11 Kernel Version2.6.29-3cb3dfbf htc-kernel@and18-2 #1 Build Number1.15.61.10 CL155070 release-keys Software Number1.15.61.10 Browser VersionWebKit 3.1 I have no idea if thats the lastest version but I tried a manual update and it said no updates were available. Nic really likes the phone. She's not interested in the technical stuff but once I setup her mail, shortcuts, homescreens, browser, Facebook, etc she gets on with it really well.

Oh, and although its a little gimmick she loves the default wallpaper that changes depending on the time and day and weather conditions. I must admit the first time you see the sunset on your mobile its pretty funky. Then the window wipers come on and wipe away the raindrops.
