Comic Books: The Road to DC Rebirth! — Latino-Review.com http://www.latino-review.com/news/comic ... dc-rebirthIt could even be brilliant out of the gate and it still won't matter. They'll be utterly determined to get the League formed ASAP so they'll tie themselves up in knots all over again. More detail with New 52 spoilers What the Hell Is DC Comics' Rebirth, Anyway? http://io9.gizmodo.com/what-the-hell-is ... 1769164590What a farce. The whole problem with 52 was that they kept so much of previous lore, changed the rest, then poured silage on top (hello, convoluted Batman series). They couldn't wait to try and force their audience to collect multiple comics just to figure out WTF was meant to be happening. They need a full-on reboot with an internal bible that sets out the fundamentals. And not just the characters but how you progress structure, never mind a fcuking story arc. All the comic stores that are still in America and some titles were only selling 15'000 copies?! That's not even a quality issue, that's sheer audience burnout and everyone knows it.

An Interview With 'Batman' Writer Scott Snyder and Artist Greg Capullo http://sciencefiction.com/2016/04/25/in ... g-capullo/There's so many things to like with their stuff, but Snyder went mental with the Batman mythos. The problem was early success led to a 'kid in a sweet shop' mentality, seemingly. And nobody from the big two is ever willing to step in and have a word with the golden goose.

Their last issue (#51) was a good resetting of the story and characters. I don't know who's taking over but I suspect my interest will wayne without Snyder and Capullo. We'll see. Some of the recent stories like Mr Bloom have been totally mad though, with too many things going on at once. Edit: Ah, the writer is James T Tynion IV, which makes sense as he's been co-writing a lot of stuff with Snyder anyway. There's hope yet.

Wondering if there's a comic book that deals with the economic and societal collapse caused by the massive losses incurred by insurance companies and governments, not to mention the environmental damage, after an intervention by the X Men, the Avengers and other assorted Marvel characters. After the current run of films, I'm surprised that the USA exists in any shape or form. I'd expect it to be blasted back into the Stone Age, with the rest of the world in a seriously precarious situation at best.

NECA Reveals Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade Game Figures - The Toyark - News http://news.toyark.com/2016/05/23/neca- ... res-204993Those will look much better in hand, but I doubt I'll ever own them due to the BS licensing that means they're Con exclusives, and can't be sold at retail because of their scale outside of Amazon and eBay (that'll cost a fortune)

ComiXology Unlimited lets you binge on comics like Netflix | TechRadar http://www.techradar.com/news/phone-and ... ix-1322075That's a win if the books are there. Most are entertaining but simply aren't worth a re-run, like a lot of films.

You'll Love 'DC Universe Rebirth #1,' Or Else Geoff Johns Will Give You Your Money Back http://sciencefiction.com/2016/05/25/yo ... oney-back/It could be astounding, but they'll still fcuk it up with crossovers and not letting fresh blood take a run at it every so often.
