Awesome news, especially given the couple of challenges you had with applications recently.

Yeah, it's a lower salary than I would like but there is a salary review after 3 months apparently, and I can still look at other jobs and use this one to pay off my debt, fix my car etc and save up for a deposit if I need to move, considering how saturated the market will be with students right now I think it's the best choice to get in while I can

Good news Fin.

Aye, sounds like they give a 3 month trial to see how well you'll get on and then possibly bump up the salary. Best to get your feet under now rather than miss out looking around at all the different tables. ;) :D

+1

Congratulations.

I'm looking for anything that will keep the bills paid at the moment. Finding the perfect job will be great, but staying in the market and being able to look for something more long-term is good.

Obviously good written English isn't one of the "requirements onto the programme".

Bad luck, though. I'm sure something will turn up eventually.

thanks Heather :)

fortunately for me, my brother went through the course a few years back (oh god, i cant wait till he finds out, ill never hear it end of it :| ), and he still has a few of his course materials knocking around. coupled with the long and boring summer i have ahead of me, it seems like the perfect opportunity to try and self-tutor. :) i can already write a little C# as it is, obviously i wont have the certification, but i can provide proof of skill at any other IT-focussed interviews i attend :D

meh, things might not go too badly :P

A little knowledge can be a dangerous thing, especially in an interview ;)
