It could be astounding, but they'll still fcuk it up with crossovers and not letting fresh blood take a run at it every so often.

And what's going on the the last few pages of Rebirth no.1? Didn't expect that!!

Cool. Then maybe you can explain what's going on overall; you have a far more extensive grasp of DC continuity than I have. :)

SPOILERS FOR DC REBIRTH THROUGHOUT THIS POST

Just read it. It's basically fixing everything they TRIED to do with 52 IMO. Hence glimpses of characters like Constantine and Swampy (that was great!), Brucey being a detective again, making Flash central again, getting Supes out of his creative cul de sac... That's where the Watchmen references come into play, with Supes being the anchor this time round I'd guess cos he's clearly gonna make a comeback, and the timepieces are all really about 'doomsday' in Watchmen and Death of Superman, so...

I'm wondering if 'who watches the watchmen' is gonna be the theme here, since apparently Barry's activities lead to all of this. How they'll work in Moore's tale without starting a fan sh1tstorm I don't know. I wonder has anyone told Moore yet!

There's a lot of magic going on, isn't there? A specialty for Constantine and Swampy, Doc Fate, Blue Beetle... Maybe Doomsday is now powered by one of the few things that hurts Supes? It might be a question of who can manipulate magic and hates Superman, especially since his tale recently became an absolute character clusterfcuk.

As above, SPOILERS FOR DC REBIRTH AND UPCOMING DC COMICS....

Apparently Geoff Johns has confirmed that Dr. Manhattan has been dicking about.

I'm not sure I care, cos I fully expect DC to tie itself up in knots again and so I'll just wait and get any GNs that appear sensible down the line.

Mattel seem to be repurposing their Monster High bodies for a range based on DC comic characters.
