It certainly doesn't and they're not doing themselves any favours. If I were you I'd make things as difficult as possible in the event that they need to speak to you. As I said before, Data Protection works both ways, take the full name of the person calling you and if they won't identify who or where they're calling from, hang up and call back to the proper number to find out if they're for real. You may be 100% certain it was genuine *this time* because you were expecting a call, but what about when you're not??

Even though I was sure on this occasion, I still refuse to speak to them over the telephone if they won't identify themselves. They have agreed to write to me to let me know the outcome of my letter.

Peter.

Good Plan and well done you. It's put me in mind of a customer I used to speak to quite regularly who had trouble with her ex-husband calling up and doing stuff with their joint account while they were sorting out a divorce, eventually she froze the account and their lawyer put a password on it so without the password no-one, even validated account holders could do anything with the assets. It seems like your bank is being unecessarily difficult about data protection.

Oh for crying out loud.

AnonTalk (pedo haven :() are spamming and DDoS'ing 4Chan again. Nothing on the 4chan servers can be accessed. Not even the index page, which sucks.

Haven't had my daily dose of lulz yet. :(

Came home today to find that someone in my sister's tutor group (form) at school has been officially diagnosed with swine flu...Dad, as vice-chair of governors, has gone to a meeting about it tonight...

All rather exciting if you ask me :P More exciting than the filing I did today anyway!

Bypass the Paracetamol and go straight for the Co-codamol

I'm going to phone my bank tomorrow and give them what-for. I asked them to close my account two months ago and they still haven't done it. They are the most incompetent bank I know!

I'm ecstatic about BT's decision to reject the use of Phorm Webwise.

I got a call from the same lady from "My bank" first thing this morning. I told her I would not be giving out any information and asked her to write to me with her decision, again!

I have just seen another £50.00 compensation appear in my account :D

Peter.

That's a good scam you have going on there, Peter. I may have to try this.
