I know, they just keep putting compensation into my account! That's £100.00 so far, all over a poorly-trained telephone operator. Peter.

I have just finished replacing a supervisor card in a Cisco switch which I'm guessing means I can add "Experience of Cisco hardware" to my CV :etc: Oh yeah, and I'm going home now

One my hot topics at the moment in this thread is data protection on telephone calls.
If you read all of my posts on this thread, you will find various rants about my bank's data protection. They locked me out of my account because of misunderstanding of my security questions, and they refuse to identify themselves on the phone.
I now work on the telephone and have to perform data protection checks on incoming callers. The information I have to verify is their full name, first line of their address and their date of birth. I was absolutely flabbergasted by this lady's audacity when she said "I'm not answering those because I don't have a clue who you are"!
I don't expect this telephone job to last long because I have already had a formal complaint about me. This lady had accidentally ordered some items by clicking the wrong button on our website and wanted to cancel her order. She had left it several days before phoning, which meant that her order had been dispatched and was due for delivery. As per our company policy, I told her to refuse the delivery and she would receive a refund minus the postage. She went mental because she wanted us to refund the postage, despite sending out the order and paying the courier. Some people are never happy.
Peter.

When I click on 'saspro's live farm stats' I expect to see images of cattle and the amount of milk/meat he is getting from them, not folding@home. How can you have a farm of computers. That's a silly idea.

Our PC RIP is annoying the feck out of me. Almost 10 minutes to respond to a mouse click? Argh!
So I'm giving it a defrag, and will try again. We'll both have had time to cool down then.
Okay, it's a bit quicker now.
The only thing is I'm printing one poster, but two different ones are coming out of the printer. How does that work?
