Cool! My other half is less than keen on my getting another snake and points out that I did have a couple escape so I think that's going to be the end of it.

This is one of those situations where a tenants right to stay on would actually help the property market and banks. If tenants can stay on paying rent to the building society then why cant they have that option. Also it is no really that different from housing benefit being paid direct to landlords. Sorry to hear the news Bob.

+1 I found this on the Shelter website if it's any use about landlords being repossessed clicky. It mentions what rights you have if they have a binding agreement between them, like a buy to let mortgage, and so on. If it is binding then they can evict you but it takes longer which may just buy you a bit more time to get yourselves sorted.

Well you might find somewhere bigger with 80 000 people on benefits having to move.

I don't like the colour, but there again I'm not really fond of beige Meanwhile (almost back on the planet) I have been casually informed that one of the system support staff is leaving and I am to take over all their duties. I've had a little think about it and decided to ask for a £25k raise commensurate with my new workload. Apparently all this work has to be done within the existing 36.25 hours per week I wonder if I'm entitled to twice the leave entitlement Al (and invisible Bob - his invisible helper in this imaginary world our boss laughingly calls reality)

Now, you see, I didn't choose beige (or magnolia). Some naughty painter has been in and daubed the walls again. There'll be no bourbons with tea this afternoon for that.

Well, to quote my manager after informing him that I would require corrective treatment every 2-3 months "but you're not actually sick, are you?". It therefore follows if I'm not sick I can't be disabled So I sent him this: Ankylosing spondylitis is a form of chronic inflammation of the spine and the sacroiliac joints. The sacroiliac joints are located in the low back where the sacrum (the bone directly above the tailbone) meets the iliac bones (bones on either side of the upper buttocks). Chronic inflammation in these areas causes pain and stiffness in and around the spine. Over time, chronic inflammation of the spine (spondylitis) can lead to a complete cementing together (fusion) of the vertebrae, a process referred to as ankylosis. Ankylosis leads to loss of mobility of the spine.
Ankylosing spondylitis is also a systemic disease, meaning it can affect other tissues throughout the body. Accordingly, it can cause inflammation in or injury to other joints away from the spine, as well as to other organs, such as the eyes, heart, lungs, and kidneys. Ankylosing spondylitis shares many features with several other arthritis conditions, such as psoriatic arthritis, reactive arthritis, and arthritis associated with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Each of these arthritic conditions can cause disease and inflammation in the spine, other joints, eyes, skin, mouth, and various organs. In view of their similarities and tendency to cause inflammation of the spine, these conditions are collectively referred to as "spondyloarthropathies." Ankylosing spondylitis is considered one of the many rheumatic diseases because it can cause symptoms involving muscles and joints. (my bold) Treatment for AS is manipulation and exercise of the spine. So I go and break my neck, am confined to a halo for 3 months which effectively holds the spine rigid Not my brightest hour Now that is good news Al PS, no phone call yet.....

From the brief time I was a post man I know exactly what your talking about. I also loathe low level letter boxes (the ones fitted at the bottom of the door). Lots of respect for post men/women. That is all.

No, I've taken tomorrow off because I'm away on Thursday very early in the morning. I've also taken time off after I get back as well. Mark

I'm always a tad miserable on Tuesdays as I have to be up about 6am and like the Eggy one I am not a morning person. Plus I have to get 3 trains to get to work so by the time I get here at 8.30am I could easily kill someone Hope it does get better, still got the clouds here and no rain. Our weekly VC is in 45 mins (Hello Munich, Hello Copenhagen, Hello Warsaw!). I may be a bit perkier when I finish this fresh coffee.
