That is something the company will defo look into, and kick arse too if you complain.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Oh god, I used them once. Never again. A 'new' monitor that turned up with loads of dead pixels and fingerprints all over the screen. I would have been a bit more understanding, it was them saying the fingerprints must have come from some manufacturing testing that fecked me off. Arses.

I have complained already - it remains to be seen if they will bother to respond, beyond the automated email reply. That is pretty much how I feel right now. I'll wait to see if they bother to follow up first.

If it were me I would complain physically. With a letter, not violence.

This is the only response I've ever heard from someone who has just attempted to purchase item from Overclockers UK... Anyway, having just finished watching Firefly for the first time - Fox are B*stards! (several years too late)

I can't believe how naive some people can be... from a software developer:
I don't do algorithms (well your job will be ruddy difficult using only if/else) I don't do maths (after trying to tell me how commissions were calculated on a site... after I had to explain to him what liquidity meant) There is no reason for me to comment my code, I know how it works (Don't get me started on that) You can't convert between an array, a list and a generic IEnumerable (showed him MSDN on that one as arrays and lists inherit from IEnumerable so you can) It's not my job to make sure something works, it's a testers (fuming by this point after throwing an exception trying to change a password and it not being handled in code)
Personal favourites: There isn't a spec (when asked for a spec to validate his work was correct), shortly followed by It's in the spec (5 minutes later when raising a serious bug about how a site worked)
number two on the list: I don't know how it works, I just copied it (followed shortly with bitching at me for fixing the code he took from a proof of concept I wrote (not even a related section), he even left in my comments which didn't even relate to the work he had done)
and the number one: The customer didn't ask for that (I'm sure if they knew they had to ask for a crucial part of an ecommerce system to work they would have asked, the site not breaking on checkout shouldnt be on a requirement list)
Makes me think some people just want to do the bare minimum to get by and would rather work harder and longer than smarter....

Some people just are not that smart. And by some, I mean most...

Not to get too michael macintyre, but i noticed my torch battery was flat. Went to the kitchen drawer and I have at least ten chargers with all the wires tangled up. Had to untangle them all and look at the input on the torch and the output on the charger to figure out which one I need.
My car battery booster needs charging as well and I didn't see that one in there, so I'll have to have another look again soon.

I have a drawer full of chargers. They're all neatly packed with the cords wrapped nicely. Annoyingly the moment I need one, I have to look through them all to find the one I need, thereby messing up the drawer!

Love it. I could actually get rid of at least six as they're for phones I don't use any more, but I'm allergic to chucking things away that work.
I may drive a large engined car, have a four wheel drive and work in marketing, but even I'm starting to think that consumerism's getting a bit out of hand these days.

Hating myself for looking through the pictures a female friend posted of her week long break in the Maldives with idiot boyfriend. Despite him being a gambling addict (took a 5 figure sum from his fathers business and lost it in a casino drunk one evening), recovering alcoholic, and stressed about having to support her at the moment, they're trying for a baby. Can't help shake the feeling that there's some great imbalance in the universe at work.

As much as I'd love to believe my friend is above such things, the bare facts are that this douche drives a Porsche, owns a company, and can afford to take her to the Maldives. I can't do any of that.
