Dear Customer,
On 26 January 2013 we will start the launch of our new look website at: http://www.royalmail.com.
We’ve listened to customer feedback and made improvements that will cater for both your business and personal needs. Our new website has been redesigned to help you find the services and information you need with ease.
So what does this mean for me?
Your journey through our website, whether using it for personal reasons or conducting business, will be a much smoother experience. We’ve made it easier for you to find information about our products and services and how to buy them.
We’ve also thought about how important it is for you to get the information you need first time without having to email or call us, unless you want to of course. If you do, we’ve made it easier to find out how you do that too.
Getting ready for the big day
In order to get our new website ready we will be closing the current one down on Saturday 26 January at 9.00am and we aim to be back up and running early Sunday morning. During this time you will still be able to access our Track & Trace and Postcode Finder services, simply go to: www.royalmail.com and click on the links displayed on our temporary page.
We hope you like what we've done and we encourage you to visit us soon at: http://www.royalmail.com.

O2 Home Broadband and Sky. The latest.

Back in February, we announced our decision to sell our Home Broadband business to Sky.

That sale has now gone through. This means your home broadband is now officially with Sky. I'd like to explain what'll happen next and draw your attention to the legal information at the bottom of this email.

Business as usual
You won't notice any changes straightaway. You can still use My O2 to access your bill, and it's the same number to call should you need a hand with your broadband. You'll receive a separate email about your payments. And remember, your O2 mobile isn't affected by the sale in any way.

You'll be hearing from Sky soon
In the next day or so, you'll get a welcome from Sky. It'll explain how they'll be transferring everyone's broadband service over to their network, starting this autumn. But if you have any questions before then, you'll find the latest information here.

As before, it's only your broadband that's moving to Sky. Not your mobile. That's still with us. So there's just one last thing I'd like to say. We wish you - and your broadband - all the very best.

Yours sincerely,

Martin Bould

Head of Consumer Marketing
Telefónica UK Limited
...

This would explain my connection dropping out no doubt

Did they give people an opportunity to leave O2/Sky?

I don't think they're obliged to since they're not changing anyone's contracts. At the moment there's not even any infrastructure change.

They're one of our suppliers. Not one we actually use ever, but I get sent updates on stuff like this.

Yes but Ernie is on a rolling month contract so could simply give a months notice and switch. Though why he would need to is another matter if nothing else is changing.

From MySupermarket

There was some great news with Morrisons announcing that they will have an online grocery service via Ocado by January. As you know we’ve asked Morrisons to share their pricing online and we promise you we’ll be the first to provide you with a fair comparison of their offering and add them to our site.

If January seems a long time away then we have 2 other big pieces of news. This summer we will be adding the discounters to our site and launching our new mobile app, for both Apple and Android devices.

This is all part of our mission to give you access to all of the information out there and to enable you to shop with us EVERYWHERE.

Thank you for your continued support,
The mySupermarket Team
...

I really hope Morrisons bring stores over here.

I hope that the discount supermarkets start up a delivery service possibly via ocado, then that will be good.

The downloadable radio shows is good but the DRM is too restrictive, I would want to keep them forever to listen to. I can do that with the podcasts.
