Yes, what would we do without a bunch of blobby, bare chested, bleating, borderline hysterical idiots who think because they have a big stadium that somehow entitles them to be considered an important club, even though they haven't actually won a damn thing in the lifespan of most of their supporters. I was listening to a bit of 606 while travelling today and one geordie fan actually seemed under the impression that Man United's fiercest rivals were Newcastle. Just how deluded can you get? Keep Hull up; they play decent football, they haven't seen fit to give Joey Barton a skip full of money, they don't seem to believe that giving the manager's job to any former player they can get their hands on is a recipe for success, their fans aren't a bunch of c!cks and there would frankly be nothing funnier than Newcastle having to play Darlington and Peterborough rather than the likes of Chelsea and Man United who they are apparently under the hallucination they're the equivalent of. I never want to hear another Newcastle fan saying the 'deserve' to be in the Premier League. Because you deserve to be in the premier league if you're good enough on the pitch - which they patently aren't - not because of how big your ground is. That's the first step on the line to franchises and the end of football in the UK and they're all too dim to realise what they're saying. Maybe if they get dumped out and see what the real world is actually like, it might just do them some good. Oh and congrats to Man U, as much as it pains me to say it. They didn't have the best attack or the best defense this season but they patently did have the best team. Which at the end of it makes them fitting champions. Jon

My Dad is a big Newcastle fan and even he feels that it would be best if they got relegated. I would tend to agree, the quality of their football is awful.

Champions of England 2009.
Wasn't a fantastic game to win the title, but it was nice to know we don't have to win at Hull, and to lift the cup at OT was great.
Let's just hope we can beat Barca on the 27th and round off the season. I assume you'll all be supporting us? (Esp. you JV)
All (well, most) eyes now turn to the relegation battle at the bottom, which once again is going to be interesting on the last day, I always look forward to these.
And finally...they've now said that the Tevez situation will be sorted in June, and we'll know for sure whether he is staying or not next month. After listening to the fans this week at OT and after the way he's played recently, can we really afford to let him go?
I don't think so.
*Fergie, sign him up. Fergie, Fergie, sign him up*

Nope, it was a rubbish game. That's what my Man Utd supporting wife said. I think I already stated that I will be supporting United in the final. Let's hope that Newcastle go down and that they either sign Tevez or sell him to us

I was hoping for Europa spot (Spurs) but with Fulham 2 points infront it looks as good as theirs. Spurs would need to beat Liverpool and hope Everton can beat Fulham. Hmmmm.
Some say it's a curse (with an extra 17 games to play if you get to the final) but I think you need to play in Europe every year to attract a better calibre of player.

I hoped that Newcastle would stay up but seeing the game today all I can say is "Serves them right!!!" Poor performance and lack of effort describe it well...
On the downside Hull is staying up. It really annoys me, I ****ing hate that club...

Cruel as it may be, I was laughing my head off at the fat geordie kid they showed at the end weeping his eyes out. The geordie fanbase is as much to blame for the club's predicament as Ashley or Keegan or the players. If they hadn't got the hump with Big Fat Sam they'd be where Blackburn are now i.e. safe. But no, the protested and moaned and whined and eventually got their way and Allardyce was shown the door. That turned out to be a great idea didn't it? I should state at this point I have no real love for Sam - he did a major 'rat leaving sinking ship' impression on us and plainly has too high an opinion of himself - but you can bet he'd have managed to keep Newcastle in the prem. Plus I just found this... LOL! Jon

And to Burnley too! Just hope the best side wins, not the luckiest. If Burnley come up there will be as many ex Bolton Wanderers players managing in the premiership as ex Manchester United players Jon
