^^^As above, there is hardwiring of many things in all creatures - ability to recognise danger, etc - all part of survival.
Isn't one of the differences of modern humans is that our brains have a well-developed language centre?

You wouldn't think that if you heard some of the locals round here trying to converse.

Spider Webs That image would suggest perception, cognition and behaviour is involved, but as they don't apparently learn from their mother then there must be some genetic wiring in there also.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

^^^She looks horrendous there, as though she's put on some weight. I personally find her features quite harsh and almost manly. When she's made up and they're softer, she looks alright.

Mice.
Over the last few weeks, I've heard scufflings and noises under the floorboards in my bedroom. I'd sealed everything up about 7-8 months ago. Tonight I heard a loud scuffling - I was woken by it. It lasted maybe a few seconds and stopped. No more noises for the next ten minutes. Got up to go to the toilet and there's a dead mouse.
Little f***er got caught by one of my traps. Looking at the way it was lying, I think it came from behind the desk or by the radiator, both of which were possible entry points before I sealed them up.
