That was one of my pet hates about the Vectra, which had the exact same design. For changing lane, if you move the stick a small amount then it doesn't latch but gives you 3 flashes. If you move it the full amount, it latches and you have to move it the small amount in the reverse direction to cancel. Before I realised there were 4 discrete operations, I would drive along indicating right, left, right, left, right, left... Even knowing how it works, it's still a stupid and clumsy cheap-arse design. I nearly ripped the damned thing off and threw it out the window and went back to hand-signals! The other main gripe with mine was the road noise. At speed on a rough road (i.e. most of them) the noise coming through the rear wheel arches was so intense that it gave me serious hearing problems, and induced a kind of fatigue which made me feel quite ill and made it difficult to keep my eyes open. It was absolute torture, and I'm glad to be shot of it. It's stupid, because the earlier models were really quite nice if a little dull.

I was worse than a female driver today, trust me. The amount of times I had to apologise for nearly causing people to write off their cars was unbelievable! My normal car's indicator stalk has two different functions. If I push it up lightly, it'll do three flashes to the right and return to the rest position. If I push it up fully, it'll keep indicating right until I turn right or push it to the rest position. Believe it or not, it does the same signals to the left also With this Astra, it just doesn't work. If I push it up fully, it keeps indicating to the right despite returning to the home position immediately. To cancel this, you have to push it down, but if you get the pressure wrong, you end up indicating to the left. To cancel this, you have to push it up, but if you get the pressure wrong, you end up indicating to the right again. I think I looked like somewhat of an idiot continually indicating left-right-left-right-left-right all the way up the M6 today when I was trying to cancel the bloody indicators! Peter. Edit: Talking of hand signals, I got a few gestures today from friendly drivers. They waved at me with only their middle finger erect, which seemed rather odd?

I feel worried about something, I'm not sure what, but I just feel a bit tense and like something is about to happen to someone or something...It's really weird, don't like it... Hopefully sleep shall cure it...

I get that type of feeling quite regularly, I associate it with 1 particular week in the month when I also have really strong feelings of paranoia, deja vu and insecurity, it's like that feeling where your stomach sinks into dread when you've got something coming up that you're not looking forward to, and it usually hangs about for a few days. Glad it's all gone now though, hope you're not getting prophetic

Sounds familiar. Douglas Adams would have said it is just perfectly normal paranoia, but I disagree. You know you have some big bills pending, but you can't be sure your pay cheque will cover them. You are not quite sure there's enough food in the freezer to last the week plus no cash to buy more. The car insurance/MOT/service is due but you can't remember when plus the tank's getting low. That sounds like the standard "week before payday" feeling.

In my case, it's the last week of each pack of my pills that does it, that's also the week that I start actively worrying about all those things you've listed above. This month it's car tax and insurance cancellation charges I'd better get on with my budget for this month eh?
