It's been a crap bloody day... Lost my glasses, almost certainly in my own bedroom, almost certainly because my mother can't leave anything alone Thought to myself, 'I'll watch a bit of iPlayer and try to relax a bit before continuing the search.' Only iPlayer isn't working, so I started downloading new demos from PSN; even more slowly than usual Tried the main demo I wanted, Twisted Metal, and it can't join a session to save it's life. The game seems very well made if the training section is anything to go by, but it's got more unnecessary controls than you can shake a stick at, so I need to test it... I'm still trying to download stuff from PSN hours later as it goes down for yet more maintenance tomorrow

Just went out to get a loaf of bread to find hardly any left. Bloody panic-buying idiots. Here in the South East we're maybe going to get an inch or two of snow if we're lucky....it's hardly The Day After Tomorrow.

No, it's just the accumulative effect of everyone "just going out to get some bread", the fact that there's a sole trigger for the activity does not equate to "panic" despite what the Daily Mail would have you believe.

I hate the panicking nature of the general public. Reminds me of a stampede of lemmings.

I suppose you also hate rubberneckers, another myth, the traffic jam is caused by everyone braking at the same time and the jam of traffic moving up the motorway, it's just a pattern caused by an event, not a panic, or everyone being nosey.
Everyone's job starts at 9pm, not everyone is rushing, everyone is just going to work quite relaxed and bored at the same time.
Panic is when a bomb goes off in a tube station or there's a crush at a football stadium. People all buying petrol or beans at the same time is not panic, it's just everyone going, oh well I'd better do the shopping now rather than waiting for the weekend when it may be more difficult.
It could almost be described as "MASS COMMON SENSE SWEEPS THE NATION".

If it were common sense, they'd just do it as per normally. Or better still, stock up before the snow hits.
Rubbernecking - TBH most places will warn you to slow down if there's been an accident, so disagree as to its existence.

That's a planned event - it's been known about for decades. You can plan around it. I leave home fifteen minutes earlier than I ordinarily would just to avoid as much of the "rush hour" traffic as possible.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

People (predominantly women IME) pushing trolleys whilst not looking where they're going. I wear steel toe-caps to go shopping now.

Cheecky bloody [LIFTED] in the office! I work three weeks on, three weeks off. Eighty four hour a week when I'm at work. The buggers just sent me an email saying "Will you do two weeks work in Norway...... It will be during your three weeks off". So they want me to work eighty four hours a week for eight weeks out of nine. They can [LIFTED] right off!

[LIFTED] areshole in their [LIFTED] BMW (reg BAZ ****) in a right turn only lane decides to go straight on with no indication and occupy a part of the road where my car currently was. I have to slam and and beep. Are they apologetic? No. They then proceed to brake test me for the next 100m. Utter [LIFTED].
