Play sent me £5 of points for Xmas, so I bought the Ladyhawke DVD as I'd never seen it before (it was on TV and looked good, but had the annoying ads).
Good film!

The first inkling I had was a scene of a geezer on horseback making his way through the grounds of what looked like a palace - just the way it was shot was great for something that wasn't even pivotal. Then Rutger appeared not long after and I thought, 'We're having that.'

For buying a Kindle book (a QI job), Amazon gave me a choice of a free book from a five-strong list - went for a Harry Bosch title (author's name escapes me even though he's quite well known. Connolly?). Dragon Tattoo was there, with other thrillers.

EDIT - I've a feeling Caz recommended him before.

I got the same offer. I've read the first few harry bosch books. Didn't feel they were anything special though the second one was better than the first. Doesn't compare to Jack Reacher.

I watched the Harry Bosch pilot on Amazon Prime (Prime Original, free to Prime subscribers). It wasn't too bad, but I don't know if they will be making it into a series.

There was something cack handed about that pilot, it just felt generic, like it had no style of it's own.

After a month and a half, Vodafone have finally replaced my HTC One X+ under warranty.
Only they couldn't get a new one.
So they've given me a new HTC One M8 with a 64GB SD card and case.
The best bit is my old contract ends it in two months. Before I had a choice of sticking with 3G on my old phone for a cheap sim only line rental price, or upgrading my phone and paying the same high monthly line rental I pay now. Now I can get 4G on a cheap sim only deal in a couple of months.
Epic win. It'll save me well over £400 over a two year contract.

Just found out they're keeping me in the office rather than sending me offshore at all this trip (to Norway).
So there's no chance of being stuck on the rig due to weather and missing my holiday. :D

The NHS now consider me to be a more-or-less functioning member of society once again.
