Got a Power Loader to go with the rest of the collection... Problem is it's such a faff putting Ripley in it that's she staying there and I've ordered another one of her

Could have been worse: clickety
I assume you'd need a hammer to break bits of to eat and you'd probably end up looking like Morph.

Two of these

Also a Dallas from Alien figure, and 'Queen Attack Bishop' (arf).

A total FAIL was yet another broken figure set... FOR THE FOURTH TIME

Yet another FAILure of a figure set
An Alien figure where it's dome is sliding off!
A laughable USB stick from Maplin - transfer rate of 4Mb max, knew something was wrong when the packaging said it was guaranteed for a whole year (it also said transfer rate of 9Mb)

To possibly balance out that wave of fcuking tripe, an item I can't mention here may have opened up a few opportunities.

The Terminators there, they look so much better than that photo though. The paintwork is just phenomenal. Only found out yesterday that all the Neca figure paint detailing is done by hand, which is nothing short of amazing when you consider how many are produced.

Also got a Captain America collection graphic novel which is pure win, and a reference guide in the same vein. Both for paltry sums.

These Lego sets are awesome

Got New York and the Burj there.

It all makes a nice change from things that should never have left the factory!

A load of stuff from the pound shop has been excellent (sweets, plastic containers, tools), but the best thing, and I can't recommend this enough, is Vick's First Defence for colds. Takes away the worst effects (stuffed-up/runny nose, groggy feeling as a result) and killed my cold within three days. Not enough people know about it, and I really recommend you buy a bottle and store it for the first sign of a sore throat etc.

The figure itself looks amazing, however that gun is as heavy as it looks, and you haven't a hope of posing it with the flame effect. It's own weight twists out clean out of the hand.

I'll maybe bodge it by suspending it or using a see-through stand from one of the Alien figures.

A sub to The Spicery Friday night curry discoverer. It was my birthday present from herself and 2 deliveries in it has been a great success. Well worth doing. Though last night I used every single pot, pan and utensil in the place and some twice over.

May I suggest a Nasi Goreng then?

1lb (454g) mince beef
Smokey bacon 2 x slices – cut into small pieces
Large onion – sliced
Cabbage leaf – sliced
Large leek – sliced
Large carrot – sliced

Spices (order from Fox’s Spices)
Sambal Oelek x 4 heaped teaspoons (2 for mild)
Sambal Nasi Goreng x 2heaped teaspoon (1 for mild)
Sambal Bajak x 2 heaped teaspoon (1 for mild)
Sambal Manis x 2 heaped teaspoon. (1 for mild)

Put everything into a large oven proof dish and mix it all together.
Cook at 160°C (for fan oven) for 1 hour.
Cook 1 ½ cups (rice cooker measuring cup) of white long grain rice. (this is about 1 coffee mug)
Mix the rice and the meat etc together, add some soy sauce to colour.

More spices can be ordered from Fox’s Spices Ltd: Masons Road, CV37 9NF Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire. 01789 266420
Annoyingly you can't order online. They're so 20th centuary, though they do have a facebook page

A couple of books. Both charity shop finds.

Image
This one was rather pricey - £20, but I have a number of these books now, so this one gets added to the collection.

Image
This one was technically not bought for me as my father in law insisted on paying for it. This one cost a whole £1, and it’s full of photos from Picture Post.
