I've possibly shot myself in the foot but I today signed up for a triathlon. It's not a huge one, 400m swim, 10k bike ride and 4k run but given my current levels of fitness it'll be challenging.

It's not until the 5th May so I have time to train however the trick shot is that I've got wrist surgery Monday week (20th Feb) and that alone could have a 3 month recovery, so I'm going to have to train around the recovery and hopefully still be able to compete.

Piece of piss, shouldn't need to train with a bike, just do some hill running, if the wrist hasn't healed before the triathlon though I'd just cancel it, seems silly.

You sound sad about it. My sister's at the other end of Lower Saxony and she's more than happy to do without snow.

A bit boring but Dave could also train on an exercise bike. I've always hated the thought of them but in this instance they could be quite suitable.

I have never been as self-conscious about my handwriting as when I was inking in the caption for this comic.

Two XKCDs in a row that I think will resonate with at least some subsets of X404 (8-D)

I've got a headache. Yes, I have eaten. Yes, I have taken some painkillers and no, I'm not dehydrated.

I'm also not complaining or whinging about this. I'm just letting the x404 world know that I have a headache.

And now you know :P

I had half a bottle of wine last night :| I've adopted the pose and expression of that woman on the neurofen advert. I'm just about to go and take the 16p same-dose equivalent.

As this random thread has gone medical.
I got the results of my follow up on my bloods and all is well. Im in good control of my sugar levels, though Krispy Kreme shares must be plummeting due to a fall in sales  and I have lost some weight (9kg since the beginning of December). My trousers now need a belt to prevent any embarressment.
