There was a Viz Top Tip on their twitter feed this morning which read "Birds, try standing closer together for the dawn chorus, then you don't have to shout so [LIFTED] much".

I tried it on a few occasions but the results were disappointing. Almost everything came out soft and I think it is from the mould in the rear element group, however not having used a similar lens in better condition I can't say for sure that this was the cause. In the end I stuck with my other lenses, I'll probably have to crop quite a few of the shots but the results will at least be sharp. I didn't take my laptop so it will be a while until I manage to sort through eveything I took and upload it somewhere. When I do you'll be the first to know.

ah, I take it you dont go into the little pillboxes? I just discovered a VAST amount of war relics, got some fire extinguisher holders that screw into the wall from ww2, presumably from 1939, some weird other things that look like bits of a morter, odd fuse things and other things.
