The Future of TV: according to the BBC, YouTube and Netflix

Good article, and Ive definitely found loads of stuff on iPlayer I didn't know existed! I barely watch anything at time of broadcast now either.

I am not sure that there is a generation without a TV. They might still play consoles, or watch DVD's. Over time it might happen.

Anyone watching "Hannibal"? Set some time before his capture and uses the characters from the Red Dragon book. Pretty compelling stuff IMO - just watched all the episodes broadcast so far over the bank holiday.

Some reasonably well-known names in the cast and guest stars too - Laurence Fishburne, Gina Torrres, Gillian Anderson and Eddie Izzard so far.

The Fall might just be one of the dumbest cop shows I've ever seen :o

A serial killer who goes to great lengths in commiting his crimes yet also leaves clues all around his house. And that's just 'for instance'

I have been recording it but working my way through some other series first.

About to make a start on Revolution.

I wanted to try Revolution, but the premise is so utterly nonsensical it makes my brain hurt.

I'll let you know what it's like after lunch. Personally I like stuff like that, it's total escapism.

I could say the same about the comic hero films that are dominating everything at the moment.

What is wrong with British comedy right now? The crap that has been launched recently, such as Ben Elton's "The Wright Way" ITV's "The Job Lot" and "Plebs" All rubbish and no redeeming qualities. I did like Pramface and Hebburn a lot.

I've started watching it but an still not sure if I like it yet. Mrs V days it's a bit slow and sometimes gruesome just for the sake of it.

We'll give it a few more episodes...

There's a good Roy Orbison prog on iPlayer - lots of famous faces pop up briefly too (Petty, Lynne, Cash etc).

Can't. No Sky Atlantic here, and it's not on iTunes. Not seen Game of a thrones for the same reason (though a friend is sending me his DVDs).
