£20 for a licensed, detailed figure that's more than twice the size of the average cartoon POS toy these days that'll cost £12+. It's no wonder kids toys are being sold 'at a discount' on day of release more and more now. I'm pretty sure adult collectors are the only people keeping that market afloat.

All of the above for £20 cos Forbidden Planet locally haven't got a clue how to retail... Some of their best stuff is in the window but not the store, same with behind the counter. They're selling Predator figures from about three years ago almost at full price with no newer stock, same with Alien. Upstairs is almost totally books and comics when next to nobody is buying those any more.

The Cap figure will have to go back because of the usual Funko paint problems The t-shirt is great! The heavy bowl was bought because my sister would much rather leave them in her room than wash them, the fcuking dirtbag. But at least it's not smashed - I got this haul from EMP, an absolutely great company who genuinely understand customer service, so there won't be any problems with Cap there. http://www.emp-online.co.uk/

Project Cars on Prime Day (£18.99) plus £10 credit for signing up to Audible 3 months trial making it £8.99
It's not quite as pretty as Forza and it takes some getting to grips with but so far it's the best racer I've played in ages.

Where I got lucky and got an extra Hulk for free, another company sent me two brown Dog Aliens instead of one brown and one grey...

Hmmm, on closer inspection, NECA haven't been great here. For one thing the packaging doesn't indicate that it's supposed to be the grey Alien, and secondly, until it's out of the packet you likely wouldn't know the difference with the brown Alien. In terms of how it's release has been handled, it's a very poor attempt. Especially since the promo pics all made it look dark silver.
Even without comparing the two, I don't think anyone would ever call it grey.

A couple of reclining sunloungers for the garden - Argos catalogue (book and instore computer thing) didn't have them in cream but did in black. Yet the website had them in cream and this was accepted at the till.
Also managed to buy some basic fans. Most places were completely sold out, leaving aircon units on the shelves. Sainsburys helped out here.

Great figures, but far too many paint failures so I'll try and buy them in Forbidden Planet from now on.

On second viewing I appreciated the film a lot more, though it's still a shambles lol. I'm awaiting Rocket...
