Ok, so it's my birthday this Friday and I had zero planned. My-ex (the cake baking one) called me to ask me what my plans were (we've been in touch via the odd text and phone call since she came over with the cake). Ordinarily I would have fronted it up, but I was having a bad day yesterday, so told her the truth. She then proceeds to say she has an idea and will call me back...... **bookmark**

I had planned a bday meal on Saturday night and invited about 25 people. Thus far only 11 were interested and most of those aren't close friends. So I was a little depressed about that and had decided to [LIFTED] it off. MK2 (as my friends and I call her - interesting story for another time) couldn't make the Saturday, so I wasn't expecting to see her on my birthday and yet she had been more enthusiastic about it than most of my so-called friends.

**bookmark**......So she calls me back and tells me her and her sister are going out with a whole bunch of women on Friday night and she would love to have me join them! Says I can crash at hers (her sis will be staying there also) and to come over early evening for a chinese or something and some drinks. Win. Going ahead with the Saturday now as well and I've decided to try not to care if people aren't interested, because there's no point doing so.

Now actually looking forward to my birthday
