Well it finally seems to be working consistantly. It's only taken them five days.

TBH I prefer it over the likes of MAccyD and BK. It does try to make itself appear more "upmarket" though.

Why are recruitment agencies such lazy sods? I applied for a job a couple of weeks ago. I've not heard a thing since, which is par for the course. I should add I don't have my mobile on at home, for the reasons the signal isn't good, and I have a landline and email here anyway. So, we go out to top the mobile credit up, fill up with petrol, get some provisions and other odds. Bing! Voicemail from 7 April about my job application. Why, in Bob's name, if you don't hear from me via my mobile, don't you try contacting me in the myriad of other methods that were in my CV and application? Why? Why call my voicemail and leave it at that? Makes me so angry.

Witches and parasites the whole lot of them. I used to be married to one.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Had to listen to the message three times to actually hear what they were saying.

I never give out my mobile number even if asked. As my phones security settings are restricted to only accept calls from the contact list they would not get through anyway. I tell them that and they have to accept it. A mobile is for my convenience, not because I want to be called every minute of the day. Many times I will go out locally and not even bother taking a phone with me.

Phone call from an insurance place (car insurance is due soon) and I said "no thanks I'm at work." 5 seconds later someone else from the same company called for the same thing.
Even worse I actually entertained them last year to save me doing it online. I gave them all the details and they put me through to the cheapest insurer (Swinton IIRC). Only now Swinton wanted every single detail again. Not confirming what I told the first guy. No. They asked the questions all over again. What?? Why? I gave up at that point and did it online.

I always do my insurance shopping online. The only call I make is to let my current insurer know not to renew the policy if I decide to move.

Recruiters are scum, if one doesn't seem to be scum they are very good at their job Applied for some jobs in development for some investment banks in London, 2 of the 4 interviews got cancelled on the day (including one at 8:30am) and never heard back from the other 2

Sadly, at the moment, most recruitment agencies will have pretty full books. Which I'd imagine tempers their approach to new recruits.

It was just they called me after I applied online. Only they didn't try to contact me again when I didn't call them back because my mobile was switched off, out of credit, and pointless when I never leave the house for more than an hour at a time. I only discover they left a voice message today. My voicemail welcome message also says to call me on my landline number if I don't pick up a mobile call. Too much effort, obviously.

Why are Americans so insular? I check a specific international website for worldwide diving jobs. Everyone apart from the americans manage to put the location in the post title. YES AMERICA! there is a whole planet outside of your borders!!!

Yeah, but they're not bothered. Unless you've got tonnes of oil.

I wish I could shift apps I've paid for elsewhere onto the App Store versions. And I wish I could purchase add-ons for App Store apps like you can using in-app purchases on the iTunes App Store. Massively frustrating!
