Holy fudgecicles Batman!

I just watched a fanfilm and it was awesome. Felt very close to the Batman in the Arkham Asylum/City games.

More details (there's other films) if you haven't already seen them

Spoilers below...

I didn't realise the bar girl was Black Canary :) , and 'the little man' wasn't who I expected it to be... I remember saving this link out when it first appeared, but it must have gotten 'buried'

It reminds me of a Batman comic, not sure if it was long enough for a GN... I'll post a link if I can find it.

Broken City it's called, it's not great to my mind, but I'll let you judge if you ever see it around:

Will check it out once I have gotten through some of the GNs I have on order.

Loved the fanfilm - felt dark and grimy - reminded me of Arkham Asylum/City. I was never a fan of the grey/black suit (better than blue/grey though) and think it works better than I'd realised. I'm starting to warm to the idea of this in the upcoming film rather than just all black. Loved the Joker and clearly based on Mark Hamill's version. Didn't like the ending so much but loved the reflection and inner monologue of Batman which shows his thoughts/feelings. This is far closer to the Batman I've always dreamed about becoming.

I did wonder though whether, if Batman did end up using guns, he'd be any different to the Punisher?

A gun negates so much of the backstory I think; the training in all sorts of disciplines, the gadgets and vehicles, relationships of every description... Batman's villains define him, where the Punisher is the other way around.

Batman has used guns in several of the early books. In fact, he used to kill people all the time.

In the first episode of Batman Of The Future (or Batman Beyond), the future Bruce Wayne picked up a gun and started using it (while suffering a heart attack). That's when he decided hang up the cowl for ever.
