I may have seen an epsiode or two back in 03/04. Did it have Quentin Tarantino in? Either way it didn't interest me.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

It's just this kind of ignorance that starts wars And Tim, just because you've seen it doesn't mean my generalisation is wrong 0(8+)

So I should watch every single episode before I form an opinion?

Toy Story 3.
8/10
I'm very wary of sequels. Especially the third part - too often they're just lamely warming over the leftovers, like cooking breakfast the morning after a party with a hangover. However, I was pleasantly surprised. This is a film with a genuine message, and at least two of the girls I was with this evening were in tears. I, of course, am a man, and I'd like to state for the record that any eye moisture that may have occurred was purely down to salt from the popcorn getting into my eyes. OK? Good.
Anyway, yes, I really enjoyed it. I'd suggest reading up on some of the 'easter eggs' hidden through out the film (you can probably do safe in a spoiler free way), they're good fun to spot.
Oh, and the short at the start, 'Night & Day' is very, very clever, and beautifully animated.
I did see it in 3D this evening, but big whoop, the 2D version's almost certainly just as good.

Shutter Island
This film starts well and having read some positive reviews I was really looking forward to this. Set in 1954, the story concerns two US Marshals who travel to Shutter Island to investigate the disappearance of a female inmate from the high-security prison hospital situated there. They meet with obstruction from the staff and Marshal Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio) soon realises that there's more going on at the hospital than meets the eye.
As I mentioned, this film begins well and has an interesting set up. Problem is that the story starts to meander halfway through. There are some very atmospheric sequences - such as when Daniels investigates the hospital wing where the most dangerous prisoners are kept - but the film isn't as gripping and involving as it should be.
6.5 out of 10

Really? Its a solid 8/10 for me. Also went to see Toy Story 3. Have to agree with Prof on this one and the same rating. I enjoyed the 3D too. I think it's because it wasnt so much in-your-face-make-you-jump type stuff but more about adding some depth (in the literal sense) to the film.

TS3(D) was my second animated 3D experience after Up. Raised the bar on that front, but was just flat out a great movie. And yes I cried. Oh and I managed to acquire the company of two women to go with me. Winner all round really.

Hah, I had 3 girls to go with. And another fella, sadly. I have to say, I found the 3D completely pointless.
