Anyone else think the country is going (or more firmly down the path) to hell in a basket?

Yes, I would have to agree. Going to brew up then go to bed now, so have a peaceful night everyone, and as Mr. Blue said stay safe.

:)

Morning World,

Where's National Service when you need it? The police station nearest to work was fire-bombed in Nottingham last night, no idea how many people were injured (if any) but the place looks a mess and so do the houses on either side. I'm glad I get out of the city early and live in the middle of nowhere where nothing ever happens!

Anyway, long and busy day trying to nail down the creative-types to allow me to book some travel, short week this week because Mac is having the snip on Friday, I already have a cup of tea and am about to go into mp3 player world to block out the real world and get some work done. Last day with "Earthworm Jim" at work before he goes off to Bloodstock which also means it's my last day of sanity this week! :( IR is back from his honeymoon in Malaysia next week so normality will reign and the worst part of the year will be over. Just have to hope nobody starts shouting for expenses before I've had a chance to do something about them :ugeek:

Have a wicked Hump Day everyone and hope everyone is safe and knows where their towe...uh kids are!

Morning.

As I peep from my bunker... nah! Just kidding.

I came to the conclusion yesterday that those elected to run the Asylum are incapable. Anything they say will be just platitudes, because they simply don't have the answers to the problems this country - or this planet - faces. I therefore propose we just ignore them and set about fixing it ourselves. Sideline the politicians.

Interestingly, I notice some in the left-wing media are thinking along the same lines. :geek:

Be safe, wherever you are. We will sort this out eventually. It will take time and patience, and there will be pain along the way, but right will prevail.

*gawd - I sound like them politicos now - takes medication*

Morning all.

Nice day for it.

By "it", I obviously mean the excuses, partisan posturing and point-scoring we're seeing from the politicians.

Have a great day and, hopefully, a quiet night.

Regards

Spreadie

Lo peeps

That St Swithin chappie must be on holiday in my sunny Lossie although with true Jock resolve I managed a rain-free day yesterday  I'm chalking that one down to St Swithin either having a lie-in or being awfully hungover.

Today is curry day. I shall be mostly preparing curry for the fortunate '8' who are invited to consume it tomorrow evening (around 7:30pm). First I have to tidy the kitchen as Mrs Mac was the last one to use it (and not wash up  )

My thoughts are with those in riotland - stay safe....... pretty please.

Al

Evening all. Feel like having a big whinge about what a hard week I've had... but compared to the family not so far from here that had 3 of theirs killed last night in a ram-raid it all seems rather easy.

It's looking increasingly likely that I'll only have managed to ever meet my Grandpa once before his time comes.

Morning World,

Last day at work this week, lots to do and not much time to do it in. Fires to put out, travel to book, humidity to discuss....it's never dull around here!

Morning.

I have my annual scan tomorrow to see if my skellington is increasing in density or not. I'm hopeful I will hear good news, like last year.

Today will be chores and wondering what happened to the sunshine.

Onwards and sideways.
