Sorry Heather, didn't realise your post was quoted too. Tapatalk only shows the last quote on a thread. I personally wasn't sure which way to go between lib dem and tory, so I actually got the outcome I was hoping for!

Way way back in "The Random Sh*t Thread Pt 2": We've not had a 24hr thread for donkeys...And according to Matts post, we've just missed the official Feb one Was there any particular reason for not having one since the last?

I misunderstood that. I was wondering why these dogs preferred their balls to be under water. I hate English. Obviously there should be some kind of grammatical error with your wording akin to "eat, [LIFTED] and die" but I can't see how to fix it without using totally different words such as "retrieve their balls".

Personally I think both "dogs trying to get their balls back; under water" and "dogs trying to get their balls back - under water" would be acceptable.

Actually, I've got it. I prefer "Dogs underwater, trying to get their balls back" or "Underwater dogs trying to get their balls back"
It doesn't help that balls and back have multiple meanings, although the context is fairly clear once rearranged.

Technically neither of those works; the use of the semi-colon is particularly jarring to my eyes. A better solution IMO would be to say:
