Day 2 of the great E-Payables "Amy Error" correction

Our MIS still haven't been able to fix it and it turns out that they've had to contact the helpdesk of the SAP program team to get some pointers... only problem is that the SAP programming team haven't heard of my error before either :D

Whooops ;)

Well I went off it at my sister and a reply all including my other sister and parents last night after getting it in the neck for not getting her present to her in time.
Kindof difficult to order an item, have it delivered, present wrap/brown wrap it then send it on to an address I don't have in un der 3 days

That and of the things she wanted...there were 2 between 4 people and they ranged from 3x to 5x what I would pay for a birthday present.

Got an email from my dad this morning saying I made some very good points

Looks like she isn't getting a present from me to put it simply... I'm not writing her a cheque out of principle... might just get her a play.com voucher and be done with it

If it weren't for the stress relief objects in work the system I use here may make me murderous…I’ve pulled three stress relief stars apart this morning alone :(
I’ve been told I’m not allowed another one so I've got to make do with the remaining three sections of the last one...

Load of ole ballocks, innit.

We (the Bat Cave) were recommended to set up a FaceSpace thingy to help with marketing. Well, it took most of a day to set it up, and it still wasn't right. Then we couldn't find any friends, even though they are already BookSpacers. I think it'll be deactivated again, sharpish.

I really can't see what people see in it, really I can't.

unlike MySpacialZone you can't mess with the HTML so there aren't 500 embedded youtube videos in a page which takes 2gb of RAM and 5 minutes to load

You could've outside contracted it to someone you know who's already registered on FriendFace and saved yourself the trouble and strife.
It's really not that tough to do, and a good way to keep up-to-date.
I'm sure there's plenty of help at hand should you require it. (8+)

I dare say. Batman's had his Farcebook profile for ages, but never uses it. We're not entirely convinced it's the right way to go yet. I've always been sceptical about social notworking [sic] sites, but if we get the angle right it may work for us.

Meanwhile, a fleaBay shop and a look at signing up for Amazon...

Meh. I'm not geared up for this selling malarkey. I'm just a creative who colours things in. 8-)

Bah!! I'm going to get wet when I leave the office in 12 minutes!! :( I wonder if the Met Offices change of stance will signal a change in the weather?

I was trying to find out why my Dad's laptop couldn't connect to the Internet today, so I was giving him some instructions over the phone. It turns out in his 10+ years of using a computer, he never knew the "Right click" function actually existed!

Peter.

Got into work at 7:45 this morning...And I'm still here!!!

I work in the same department as my Dad, he came in with me today, but he's down the town interviewing all day, they have to finish writing up reports before they can go home...Just got a call from Dad to say he's on his way...

All of my Mum's friends pass these sorts of emails around, but I was shocked to find my Mum forwarding this to all of her 200+ contacts today.

Quote:
URGENT
TWO SUBJECT LINES TO BEWARE OF:

BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY. READ AND HEED.

PLEASE INFORM EVERYONE

Emails with pictures of Osama Bin-Laden hanged are being sent and the moment that you open these emails your computer will crash and you will not be able to fix it!

If you get an email along the lines of 'Osama Bin Laden Captured' or 'Osama Hanged', don't open the attachment.

This e-mail is being distributed through countries around the globe, but mainly in the US and Israel

Be considerate & send this warning to who ever you know.

PLEASE FORWARD THIS WARNING AMONG FRIENDS, FAMILY AN D CONTACTS:

You should be alert during the next few days:

Do not open any message with an attached file called 'Invitation' regardless of who sent it.

It is a virus that opens an Olympic Torch which 'burns' the whole hard disc C of your computer..

This virus will be received from someone who has your e-mail address in his/her contact list, that is why you should send this e-mail to all your contacts.

It is better to receive this message 25 times than to receive the virus and open it

If you receive a mail called 'invitation', though sent by a friend, do not open it and shut down your computer immediately.

This is the worst virus announced by CNN, it has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever.

This virus was discovered by McAfee yesterday, and there is no repair yet for this kind of virus.

This virus simply destroys the Zero Sector of the Hard Disc, where the vital information is kept.

SEND THIS E-MAIL TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW

In Del Boy's words, what an plonker!

Peter.

LOL!

Zero sector. That sounds like some kind of cheezy american spy film. :D

I'll wait till I get that off my sister. I got the "ONOEZ MSN IS SHUTTING DOWN PAY TO USE OLOL" one and the "DONT OPEN THIS ATTACHMENT" one which actually did write over the zero sector on her pc :)

EDIT: http://www.sophos.com/security/hoaxes/sectorzero.html

Hoax you say? :P

Isn't the Olympic Torch hoax pretty old now? I'm sure it's been around for ages.
