I was impressed that I got anything from the aircraft, it was flying over the back fields and banking to come into the local airport (Achmer). I was on close-up mode and flicked the dial too far and ended up on portrait, as I swung the camera around from taking photos of the garden...

The bird was also taken at 250mm zoom.

Hmm, even more noise in the image through the Flickr upload... :(

I've never noticed added noise on any of my images after uploading them to Flickr, so there's something odd going on there if you are on yours.

I think it probably has to do with the export settings in Lightroom, when it uploads to Flickr. The images were already relatively grainy and Lr was using agressive compresion, so added more noise.

Ah. Y'see, I never do that.
I always export the image to jpeg then upload to Flickr manually.
