When I ordered mine graphics cards were not an option. That said it handles a 2560 x 1440 screen very well and I can play 1080p movies on it without any upgrade.

I suppose that makes sense. I have heard of Crisis. I have never seen it played. I sometimes get the impression that not many people actually play it but just run it and send out the stats as a way of tech willy waving. Is it a good game? Is it popular? Is it typical in it's graphics requirements? Is that one question too many? Should I start a thread on this?

I played in when I upgraded to a GTX275 as it was the first graphics card I owned that could play it on full with some AA and AF (DX9) @ 1680x1050. I thought it was a good game. The graphics were tremendous and the game was good but the whole feature of being able to adjust your cyber-suit thingy on the fly didnt really work for me.
That said I'm looking forward to Crysis 2 but I'll sacrifice some of the graphical wonder and get it on Xbox/PS3. I cant be doing with PC gaming anymore.

I'm still looking forward to playing teh original Crysis. I gave up after half a level. Turns out an Athlon 64 and 7800GTX just can't cut it.

It didn't for me, to start with, that was until I linked it up to another mouse button. Made it far more useable than using the key.

I could operate it, I just didnt see the point. I pretty much used the stealth one and thats about it. Saying that I didnt get even half way through the game so maybe I didnt give the system a chance.

The problem with will my computer be up to play a game meant that I was driven to consoles. They may not always be state of the art, but you do not have a problem of will it play.

Console gaming has kind of inherited a few of the problems of PC gaming though; unfinished games being released, downloading a frigging patch when all you wanted was a quick game before work, 'We've decided to abandon/pretend there's no problem with this game even though it's newish and doesn't really work properly'...

Maybe the poorly finished games is another reason that the games industry is having a hard time?

Or releasing half the game and expecting you to pay for the rest (unlock on disc or DLC)
