Hence the fuss made by the publishers. I’ve not heard of this person before, and quite honestly I don’t care. He’ll sink into obscurity, Top Gear will present a new driving automaton and it will continue. Pink. It may be a lady next time. You never know.

What's funny is they've mentioned the name Ben Collins on TG a few times. Certainly the last episode I watched on Dave showed him racing against some kid on a superskateboard. Just never mentioned him as the stig.
I guess it'll be like that other guy who was black stig.
Personally I think they should continue to have white stig. Would really rub collins' nose in it.

The way that BBC article was worded although it said it is Ben's book it didnt implicitly say HE was the Stig did it?

I'm fairly certain that some manufacturers only allow their own drivers to do the hot laps. To be completely accurate, Ben's been the Stig on numerous occasions - his is merely a Stig.

Wouldnt that make the board unfair though? At least keeping the same driver means theres some consistency in the lap times.
