One point, does your current contract have data? If it doesn't, you'll either need to add it to the contract or you'll need to turn off wireless data on the 'phone, sort of defeating the object.

Currently I've got free minutes and texts. If I look at an iPhone from Tesco they do 250 minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB data/month for £20 which doesn't look bad, the contract is only 12 months too.

I originally was looking at that contract but the difference between that and the £35 per month contract was minimal and it came with more minutes, and was cheaper upfront as well.

I know, but I'm not sure I can stretch to £35/month after Christmas. I'll have a wee think

Yes but the £20 iPhone contract is £419 upfront but the £35 is £299, so the total cost extra over the is only about £40, and for that you get considerably more minutes.

I registered my interest in the iPhone 4 with Tesco on Saturday as they had sold out. They've just called me and I've completed an order for 16GB black iPhone 4 :D I went for the £35/month option in the end.

My brother now hates me. Why? I told him to get an iPhone. I'm not kidding or trolling. He calls me almost everynight cursing. My saving grace is that as it's an iPhone his signal drops after a minute and loses the call

Although I can get the signal to drop on my iPhone I have never had a cut off call.

Since I've put a case on it the signal issue is almost non-existent.

Unless he wears lead-lined gloves then I seriously can't see how the calls can drop so often.

He doesn't live down a mine does he?

I've just realised, I paid £200 for my first generation iPod Touch 16GB (from eBay) and I paid £230 for the iPhone 4, not bad me thinks...

Until I got my case, mine was virtually unusable, unless I held it in the top corner by thumb and forefinger which looked ridiculous. Thankfully my free case was there in a couple of days, but I had to find out from a friend that that was the problem and that I could get a free one.

Good question: Can I get a free case? If so, how?

You need to be quick the offer ends soon. Google free iphone case.

Just be prepared for a surprising number of people to start trying very hard to point out how much better their phone is than the iPhone. It always amuses me - I never talk to anyone about my phone unless they are also an iPhone user, in which case I'll ask them what apps they have and have they got any recommendations etc etc but I've had a lot of people informing me of how much better the [insert phone here] is compared to the iPhone.

It often sounds as if they're trying to convince themselves as much as anyone else.

Search case offer or something on the app store it's an app you download, then fill in your details.

Really? The offer should not end as the phone is virtually unusable without it. How on earth it ever got through testing, I do not know.
