There was an interesting study, which found out that the same receptors in the brain which are activated by religious fervour is also activated in fans of Apple products... I assume that any company with a charismatic leader could obtain the same sort of devotion as a religious leader. I just don't see Steve Ballmarer provoking the same sort of relgious fervor as Steve Jobs. That isn't to say, that there aren't "normal" Apple users out there -I guess you could see the two groups as the Catholics and those "CofE" who go to weddings and funerals, but otherwise generally ignore the church

Well, maybe. Or maybe it's Apple just seems to garner more polarised views. I just think it's symptomatic of being human. Tribalism. It filters through many aspects of life, whether it's sport, culture, preferred computer or games console.

I agree but "I bagged a switcher" thread seems little bit too fundamental for my liking. I have never come across anything like that before in any other fragments of the marker. I think big_D summed it up very well btw. Not all apple users are fanatical, e.g. having a mac pc, ipod, iphone, ipad and "magic" trackpad (I am still in stitches from that name ) at the same time. I know plenty of people who have an iphone only but they will change it for an android phone when their contract is up. Most of them say they are happy with their 3gs but iphone4 for "doesn't nothing for them" (quote). So there STILL IS a hope for a human kind

I'd say that of all the members of this forum, you do seem to be the one with the strongest views on Apple, Koli. You even go far enough to paraphrase Apple in your sig! Perhaps you are a closet fanatic, yourself?

Not sure I quite see that. Out of the 536 members of this board, I reckon about 30 are Mac users.

On a score of 1 to 10, about 2 I'd say. Now, how antifundamental are you?

There's a very strange question. Nobody is 'fundamental', we're all optional at the end of the day. Koli's beginning to remind me of one of those Victorian gentleman who campaigned against immorality during the day...

Yes, and long may your freedom of expression be curtailed.

How fundamental would you say they are? I'd be interested to see who you included in a list of "fanatics".
