Multiple dittos from me, too.

LOL, the internet is definitely not a good place... The posterior fossa is exactly where mine is.

I’ve rarely looked up any problems I have had on the internet. I have managed to scare myself at times. Save your enquiries for your specialist.

Agreed. You tend to fall into the trap of believing the worst-case scenario.

I would agree if it were not for the fact that everything that has happened points to exactly this case. I know I have complete hearing loss in my left ear. I know I have a posterior fossa meningioma about 2-3cm in from my left ear. The hearing loss was triggered by a physical trauma (i.e. me bouncing on a trampoline) not by some illness or cold or something. I hope that this isn't the case but I can't really see what else it could be. What else would give you instant and total hearing loss in one ear?

That girl coming to see me at the weekend is an audiologist. I could text her to ask if you want? But it's probably best you just chill and seek professional advice. I just know how hard that can be.

Thanks. I'm currently waiting for my oncologist to call back so I should know something by the end of today.

Well, I've spoken to my doctor and he said it definitely sounds like it could be something (LOL) (there wasn't really much that he could say over the phone though).
He's sorting out an urgent MRI and urgent audiometry to see if the tumour has changed/grown and to see what really is wrong with my hearing.
I guess I just have to wait for the appointments now.
He's also put a note saying I can get to any cancellations within an hour which is good as it means I could get seen even sooner.

assuming this is a nervous "LOL"? I study that word in contexts, quite a few people on msn say "lol" or "LOL" when they are really unhappy or nervous moreso when they are actually happy, just curious etc as part of my "study"
