She was a friend of a friend - a load of us were at the same pub and she was there. We arranged to go for a drink on our own and that was it - living together a month later and have been ever since. 5 and a half years now, getting married in January.

She’s a friend of an ex-friend/colleague. A group of us used to do a lot together, and she started joining in. It wasn’t a planned thing, but we started going places outside of the group, and we’ve been together ever since.

He was on OKCupid, so was I, I was dating a couple of other people at the time (poly not cheating) and he popped up on my "top ten" match list so I sent him a msg asking about his profile pic. He was online at the time and got my msg, noticed that I was online too and PM'd me. About 15 minutes later we started chatting on the OKC client which was rubbish so we switched to MSN. Shortly after midnight he asked for my phone number, called me and we chatted until 7am :D

We texted back and forth over the next couple of days, decided we should meet but his work was hell at the time and we couldn't figure out when. Eventually we realised that neither of us had anything planned for New Years, so he asked me out for the evening, so we met halfway between our then homes, at the Bell in Stow. We had all of New Years Eve getting to know each other, then as the clock struck midnight we had our first kiss and I drove us back to his house. I stayed for the whole weekend, it was amazing and that was nearly a year and a half ago, I moved in at the end of July 2008 and it's been getting better ever since.

I've never dated anyone I worked with, unless you count my ex-husband who got a job at the place I worked in. I've generally just met people as I've gone about my daily life, sometimes online, sometimes in a coffee shop, once at cuddle party, you just never know. My dad always used to say I didn't "put myself about" enough, so I started going out, doing things and meeting people that were interested in the same things as me.

I met my wife at an ACDC tribute act gig. :D
Once her friends had got the info from my friends that I was single and not a psycho (there words not mine  ), suddenly they dissapeared as we were talking. We arange a follow up meeting and after a few dates we became a couple and the rest is history.

We met in a pub. Original, I know.

We will have been married 10 years, next month. She must have the patience of a saint.

I don't think I ever really described her as my girlfriend. Infact, I know I didn't, it was just more of a few weeks of fun.

Anyway, we met in a night-club. It was a foam party and she was behind me when she fell over and started getting trodden on etc so me and a friend helped her up. We didn't think anything of it but she was really appreciative and wouldn't leave me alone. In the end I succumbed lol

I met my last proper girlfriend at school.

At a works team table tennis match.

She was engaged to a colleague who later decided a young piece of office totty was too tempting. His one decent act after splitting with his fiancee was to give her my number. I got a phone call from her, we went to see a film together and the rest is history.

28 years married this year, 2 years living together before marrying and god knows how long courting. Not bad.

He and the totty lasted about 3 months if I remember correctly.
