Off!!!!!! I hate them. It also winds me up if Nic leaves hers on and writes a text. Oh my god.

I have got haptic feedback turned on though.

Also what evil bugger decided you can change keypad tones to drums, etc on some phones!

As it's a touch screen there is no feedback to say when you have pressed so having the click helps.
Can't you get the iPhone to vibrate slightly? Most phones have that as an option these days.

You can but I don't like it.

With gadgets I hate any noise that isn't mechanical or real music. The fake 'shutter noise' on a camera phone is perhaps the worst, the noise when you press the shutter release on my Nikon is my favourite :)

I turn that off too, unless I pass it to someone else, otherwise they tend to say "has it taken the picture yet?" constantly.

Off for phones and everything else such as cameras. It should be off as a default.

I tended to switch them off, but I’d like to replace the tones with swearing.

tones - off

force feedback (haptic?) - on, but only lightly

unfortunately my phone wont let me turn off the camera shutter noise though, something to do with Korean laws to stop dirty old men taking pictures of ladies in secret. utterly ruins my hobby of taking surprise photos on nights out, then facebooking them in the morning :(

But why do digital cameras all have that annoying film winding noise? There is no film to wind? Isn't a shutter click enough?

This is another reason I enjoy using my 35mm film camera bodies. It's a sense that you're doing something real instead of software based.
