O yeah, that makes sense - open up the country to another in-house attack... nice one!

Oh of course! The ID Cards did the Spanish a lot of good in Madrid, and the Terrorism Acts stopped the 7/7 bomings from ever happening... :x

No, but it probably helped stop a lot more happening that we may never know about, if it stops 1 in 10 and it’s saved innocent lives then I’m in.

It will also help reduce mass anti social behavior sweeping the nation, help control perverts and generally help to make life a bit more bearable for Joe blogs and their 2.1 kids. :x :x

Edit - anyway I've sent us off topic and there is a thread about this else where so we'll beg to differ....

+1

A few (semi) rational ones I know I always think should be abolished:
Middle management
Annoying people in marketing
Grease
Stickers that tear when you try to peal them off
Lager and clear spirits
Early mornings after late nights...
The GNOME GUI...I really need to look for something lighter...
The x86 architecture in servers, it's more hassle than it's worth IMO

we could always have employees vote annually for there 'team leaders' and then have the 'team leaders' vote annually on the 'senior team leaders' then have them answerable to 'company management' (non voted) …

It could work, it strikes me as odd that we've just had a layer of management stripped away, and everything is running as smoothly as it did before...Indeed it may even be running better as you don't have to pass requests up and then wait for them to be passed up further...

Pointless lists

& the meetings to discuss making those lists, the lists, amendments to the lists & why we can't afford to do what's on the list.

sadly Arthur Scargill's predictions have become/came true, even sadder is the fact that he went the wrong way about it …
