Apartfrom Father Ted, the offers have been somewhat lacklustre. A fishing game? WTF?

Awesome - Charlie Chaplin's Modern Times free on itunes.

And, just for that extra retro feel, All Quiet on the Western Front is showing on TV. 8-)

Yes though I did notice the prices being asked for the other Chaplin classics. £6.99 or £7.99. Over the top for such old films, but I guess that the studios have not learned about sensible pricing yet.

I haven't bothered with the Chaplin one. I'm getting well into fishing kings though.

The fishing game lasted less than a day on my 3G - unlike the Golf game from last year which I still play sometimes.

Then stop imagining. Watch one/some and decide on the facts.

Perhaps you should try. Watch them with the knowledge that they were from the dawn of movies as an art form, rather than assume they're just old-fashioned and have been superseded by everything done ever since.

Yes but every time I go to click on one of the 6 Chaplin films on my hard disk, it always ends up clicking on a Samuel L Jackson film with explosions or something, I have to fight it I know. :(

Haven't seen a whole Chaplin film, but there's a good chance it'll be better than anything Sam's done in the last few years from what I can see
