Specifically for Christmas - no, but I did manage to get myself a new HTC Desire HD and have just inherited a surround sound system (and DVD player) from my mate. It's all boxed, unused :D :D

I bought my girlfriend a Braun cordless Stabmixer (don't know the English word). One of those puree and mixer things, like a long stick. This one runs off an accumulator, so no wires to get in the way, and has a bunch of add-ons, like a whisk and a covered mixing bowl.

I got a decent pair of slippers.

I think hand blender would be correct, although stabmixer sounds better.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Another HTC Desire HD here. Is that 3 of us? Not really a Christmas present, but I got it issued to me at work just in time so I think it counts. Very nice, although I'm still trying to figure things out. Note, most of the things I'm trying to figure out are things you just can't do on an iPhone. 'Droids FTW; every super-villain should have one!

My big present to me was a new 42" LED TV which I'm generally very happy with. The colour, contrast, crispness and viewing angles are all better than anything I've seen elsewhere. I think it was quite a bargain for £450, although it'll probably be available for half that by the time I hit "submit"

I think I actually have everything I want now, tech-wise. The only stuff missing is stuff they haven't made yet

Awesome product name. From now on my blender will be henceforth known as STABMIXER.

Bought an iPod touch - a present to myself just before Christmas - if that counts?!

I wanted a Mac/PC as a media server to connect to my HD TV but couldn't justify the, frankly, silly prices of the Mac minis - or decide if the Dell Zino HD would be a suitable alternative. Still can't decide, any advice welcome. It would mainly be used to rip my CD/DVD collection so I can get rid of the discs cluttering up the place. I'm surprised there's not more options out there in this sector - seems like a gap in the market waiting to be filled.

I have just read a review of the Zino.

High spec machine but noisy as hell. Not useable as a medial centre unless sound insulated in some way.

:?

A quote from stuff magazine

You gotta love the poetry.

I use an Acer Aspire Revo.

Small, very low power consumption, virtually silent, cheapish but fairly powerful with hardware acceleration for video. It can easily handle 1080p. Mine's VESA mountable behind the TV. I use a USB DVD drive and wireless keyboard / mouse.

I found mine for about £130, but that was a year ago.
