IMo, one of the joys of being an uncle is being able to buy said toddler toys that will drive his parents to the edge of insanity

Definitely +1
:P

Amongst other (more restrained) gifts from me, my 3 year old niece got a very noisy keyboard and a potentially very messy painting kit at Christmas. My sister's face dropped like a stone (payback for when we were kids)!!

So given I'm leaving the country for a while, something loud and/or messy is recommended?! I was once in line to be the kids uncle, so I guess that fits.

3) Anything with the word 'Tonka' on the packaging.

Tonka isn't the same since they started using plastic for anything other than the wheels. :(

You could go surreal and buy him a sextant, seven thousand drawing pins, two 8 kg blocks of Armenian blue cheese and a leather-bound Braille copy of À la Recherche du Temps Perdu.

;)

Has to be store bought as I need to buy it tomorrow morning. Ideas? I'm sure ELC is on the list but this delightful kid has a [LIFTED] massive family, so need to avoid clashing. Budget is probably £10-15. Any ideas guys?

Books...... Thomas the tank engine books.
My two year old boy loves them.
