Strange. On many retail items 50-100% is not thought of as over the top. Hence the big discounts that can sometimes be negotiated. I wonder is this true across most electronics or just computers?

I imagine most of Sas's profit comes from the time spent on installation/support however, rather than just shifting units.

The "normal" electronics market is very cut-throat, but the PC industry is ridiculous. You either have to sell something like an Apple or maybe Voodoo or Alienware, and make a good return, or you need to sell hundreds of thousands of the darn things, to make a decent profit.
