TBH nothing there appealed and looked just as expensive as elsewhere.

It's more expensive in a lot of cases than just about everywhere else

No thanks, I'll go to play.com and get it NOT IN THE SALE for about half the price... oh, and that's with free delivery.

I have never and will never pre-order a game. It's just pointless IMO, I've never paid full-price either, there's always a small warehouse store on Google selling it cheaply.

I agree, I'm never so desperate to play a game that I must have it on release day. Especially when someone will be selling it at a much reduced price only days after launch - often on the same day (I bought Bioshock at Morrisons on release day for £23)

That pretty much explains why I don't shop at Game.

I rarely buy second hand games, but I'm changing; slowly.

I bought Crysis 2 second hand for £19, played and completed it, and sold it for £17 a few days later. Yeah, it cost me a quid to post it but playing it to completion for £3 was more than acceptable. It's just a shame you can't do that with Steam titles.

I am quite late to the console party. I have recently bought a Xbox 360 and still have only three games for it. A friend commented that I am so behind the curve I still have a lot of catching up on eBay to do. So £50 might be the total spend that I might end up making for a pile of games.

My friend does that all the time. Practically breaks even and gets a free game rental in effect.
