I'm not a monarchist in the strictest sense, but rather that than a political cyborg... Plus, you know, there's the days of work  :D

I didn't think I was and until fairly recently, I wasn't.

But we've been lucky and our current monarch IMO has been awesome. I would hate for Prince Philip to be king. I did wish that at the time of the last election that HRH dissolved Parliament so we could redesign it. Kinda like Deus Ex Machina.

No. I don't believe any one genetic line should be idolised, the same way I didn't believe in the same Nazi ideology of the superiority of one genetic trait over another.

Thought I'd get a Nazi reference in there early.

They have these massive books of words and what they mean. They're called dictionaries.

Dictionary wrote:
Monarchist (noun and adjective) Supporter of the principle of having monarchs.

To be honest I prefer bratty's definition. :)

If pushed I think the idea of a republic sits better than monarchy.

Since it's not been posted thus far:

Quote:
God save the queen
'Cause tourists are money
And our figurehead
Is not what she seems

Oh God save history
God save your mad parade
Oh Lord God have mercy
All crimes are paid

When there's no future
How can there be sin
We're the flowers in the dustbin
We're the poison in your human machine
We're the future, your future

God save the queen
We mean it man
We love our queen
God saves

God save the queen
We mean it man
And there is no future
In England's dreaming
