There's a good reason behind that... Glad to see you're not dead, by the way </off topic>

How about Highlander for unnecessary sequels - there really should have been only one I thought DD was b*llocks, and I'd sooner watch DD (Daredevil) again AvP2 is actually one of the worst films I've ever seen, and I've even given this a go : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taxi_%282004_film%29I've got a Family Guy book where an entire page is pretty much dedicated to telling Jimmy Fallon to f*ck off, or to just go full steam ahead and make Taxi 2: Electric Boogaloo

No, no, no! Can't explain right now, because I'm at work. But I will be back. You can't include these with the rest of those.

I must admit, the Matrix sequels have improved on every watching. Godfather 3 Every Pierce Brosnan James Bond after Goldeneye.

I was never wildly enamoured by the Matrix sequels except for their featuring of both Persephone and the Merovingian. The Merovingian in particular was just such a delicious character, it's hard not to watch again.

Nobody's mentioned Blues Brothers 2000. Which, as I haven't seen it, might be amazing. But I'm betting it's not.

I keep reading the title as "Unnecessary Squirrels", so my answer is Pie.

I agree, sir. You're entitled to your opinion. You're wrong, but you're entitled to your opinion.

Psycho 2 (and 3) - we know Norman Bates is a nut job, and we don’t need two more films to ram the point home. Or two remakes either, come to think of it.
Star Wars 1,2 and 3 - while technically prequels, they are still highly unnecessary.
Cube 2: Hyper Cube and Cube Zero - again, let’s keep with the mystery surrounding the first film.

I disagree sir. I think they were necessary. The problem was that they were incredibly badly executed.

Was about to say similar. As for the Matrix. Reloaded and Revolutions fleshed out the philosophy and really do continually reveal further layers, even on the 5th viewing. The first movie fundamentally changed CG and cinema as a whole, but the sequels continued to be groundbreaking for different reasons. Like them, or don't. But IMHO, people that don't like them have only seen them once and judge them by the first film, not meritoriously.
