I LOVE Lush, They have the most amazing soaps and bath soakers, they sell one of only 2 soaps that doesn't give me an allergic reaction and they employ people who really know their stuff. They will also give you free samples of stuff to try before you buy in case you are allergic-y like I am. I know a lot of people who complain about the smell that comes out of the doors, but it's only because of the show-casing, they have some of the best product placement and arrangement I've seen and even Red agrees that once we're inside you hardly even notice the smell any more.

Not surprised about Halfrauds though.

Thankfully the Lush in Derby has shut down now. No more stench in the high street!

I don't go to the shops much. Usually my local town which has very limited selection or I have been known to make a mad dash to the West End after work but I don't hang about.

Given their Scandinavian heritage that doesn't surprise me at all. Currently based in the land of the Danes I dream of being able to shop in the UK's worst 10.

Can't believe ikea are rated well, I have not spoken to anyone that has said the experience is anything other than hellish. Perversely for a furniture emporium, I have heard nothing but good things about their meatballs.

I've never been to a lush store, but as long as their print buying remains as disorganised and prolific as it does, I should have a roof over my working head for some time to come.

Good thing about Lush is their staff are expected to visit the factory and make some of the product themselves.
In terms of your staff knowing their product, this can only be a good thing.

Lush is the place that sells Bath Bombs and the like, yes? I think I've been in once, in an effort to treat SWMBO, but never again - it's nearly as bad as the Bodyshop.

Maplin is hit and miss IMO. The staff in the Doncaster branch always seemed disinterested to the point of being rude. However, the staff in the store on the island are spot on these days; although, there has been a striking change in the last two years, so maybe Donny has improved too.

Got a couple near me at least. One in Bolton town centre and one at The Trafford Centre. Never been in either of them.

We were in the Poole Maplin branch over the weekend, and the staff were pretty clued up. Our local branches are also not too bad, though that's more down to the roving manager who we know quite well.

Quite happy nipping into Lush periodically for things for the Wench. As I have no sense of smell it's invariably not such an issue for me as for others

Agree about Ikea, really very shoddy from a service perspective; we've had plenty of issues trying to get things returned etc. The meatballs are glorious however!
