IM+
MSN Messenger
Skype
WhatsApp

Only really use WhatsApp and text messenging / iMessage

Well I had Skype before and it was ok, but the only person I used it with has an older phone than me and the picture quality was awful.

Having read the privacy policy word for word, I elected to install Viber a few days ago and so far I've been very pleased with it. Call quality to France and Spain has been very good (over wifi, not tested 3G) but full duplex seems to be a bit of an ask. But then that's the same with Skype. Audio quality is far superior to Skype in my experience and the texting element works beautifully.

It would appear that far more people use Whatsapp, but I'm not ready to install that just yet after everything I've read.
