My two nice ones were given to me. ;)

The best current shirts I own were £35 from Next. The others were cheaper, purchased later than the £35 ones and yet are showing wear with threads coming out, buttons popping off etc.

Looking at Crockett & Jones for footwear. Sick of shoes wearing out by six months and unwearable before twelve months.

35 quid to end up with a shirt from next? Mental!

In all honesty, I hate having to dress smartly. It makes me feel like a gorilla in a suit. I'm much happier in T-shirt and jeans. Somehow I know all the locals would frown upon it.

I buy Eterna or Seidensticker. Both have a "Black Line", which are strong dark colours. I find them good wearing (2 -3 years on a 2 week circle).

My two favourite shirts come from Hawes and Curtis.

Thanks for the link. They look really nice and completely different to what I already have. My only concern is working out what all the frikkin' "cuts" mean because they offer similar/same patterns/colours in different cuts.

I'd try giving them a ring. Certainly when I popped into one of their shops (mostly on a whim as it caught my eye with the interesting colours as I was walking past) and they were really very helpful. I think mine were £25 each. The only problem is that I've put on some weight since then and can no longer fit into them.

I've since had a longer look at their website and there's a guide explaining all the features of each "cut". Warwick Classic for me. :D

Yes. I was there in September 2011. Picked up a Helly Hansen ocean racing jacket for a good price; RRP 400, outlet price 300, sale price 150. Haven't been sailing with it yet, but it is certainly wind and waterproof.

I hate shopping, and picked up the jacket because I needed one and it was there, I didn't go there to buy a jacket. There are plenty of outlets but I'm not sure if I would recommend going there to buy something specific.

Right, after a late start (see Rant thread), we arrived in Bicester Village. Never been before but love it. Free parking - there were plenty of spaces despite arriving around 1100.

What I really needed was a jacket and shoes to replace my aging Next ones. Ended up spending £120 on a jacket from CK, £220 on tops from Ralph Lauren, £75 on jeans and boxers from Levis, and some other stuff I can't remember. Surprisingly, the nicest shoes were from Clarks for £50. I had planned to spend more but the fancy ones like BOSS were crap.

I plan to return when I have a fortnight off from work. I still need at least three pairs of new trousers (old ones are falling apart at the seems quite literally), and a wallet.

I ended up buying 4 shirts for £100 from Curtis & Hawes. Was going to buy more in Bicester but realised I basically have all the main colours or variations of shirts at home now.

That should sort my clothes out until next year or so.

Bought 3 new Eterna shirts today, bright red, almost flourescent, darker red and a spice brown, they all change colour tone, depending on the light/angle you view them at.

Asda men's apparel fail.
I'm not thin, yet Asda's suits go several waste sizes larger than I need. Yet their suit chest sizes don't go high enough for me to get a compfy fit. WFT? It's not like I look like an upside down pyrmid.

Sadly, in my expereince, a lot of of the people shopping in the Asda near me do.

The problem I have is I'm just too big for one size and way too small for the next. That means everything is either that little bit too small or I look like a 12 year old kid whose just been bought a school blazer his family expect to last until he graduates.
