Thats it. Can't even remember the Scottish one being mentioned to be honest.

Oh, please let that happen: 'So, are you a Catholic or a Protestant alien then?' Do they subtitle the aliens in the show? They'd probably have to subtitle some of the Belfast extras if it was being broadcast to the rest of the UK

There were also three radio plays on Radio 4 the week before this was on. One of them featured a Torchwood India that had been shut down just before the end of Empire. As these are cannon, we could soon have Torchwood Vegas, but then how would they spot the Aliens

In true American style they would shoot first, shoot again just to make sure, call in an air strike and then check to see if the remains are alien.

I've been off work, 'dying' of man flu, Monday to Wednesday, so I caught Torchwood on iplayer.
I thought it was quite gripping, although some of the scenes where poorly staged.
The team are in a telehandler being chased by squaddies in Landrovers, but defeat them by pulling a wagon across the road and firing it. There were grass verges either side of the bloody thing! I know the LRs are getting a lot of negative press, underlining their inadequacy for use in Iraq, but surely they can negotiate a few yards of turf?
Still, despite the odd whoopsie, I thoroughly enjoyed this mini series. It was much harder edged than the other, admittedly few, episodes I have seen.

I think the tactical errors on display by any kind of military in the Whoniverse are well documented. These guys seemed no exception and in fact probably quite bad. It's a minor problem though, with what was otherwise superb television.

No. I'm encouraged by this news. If I see it and I'm disappointed then so be it, but until I watch it I'll be encouraged by new Torchwood. (8+) Mark

We just need to get Neil Gaiman to write a couple of the scripts and it could be fantastic. He's writing an episode (the 3rd?) of the next series of Dr. Who so he might be up for it Now Richard Curtis has had a go at Who, and Neil is doing an episode next season, with the US connection the door is open for some really interesting collaborations Now the Die Hard /24 collaboration has bitten the dust Torchwood 24 anyone?
