Don't remember either of my parents reading to me but then it was a very long time ago. I remember Dad taking me to the library at a young age and I've always read a lot.

yes he did, very occassionally. Mostly it was my mother who read to me.

+1 but then dad worked and mum stayed at home when we were young

I can't remember who read to me when I was very young. Probably my mother much of the time but I'm sure my dad would have contributed too. I do remember having stories read to us at school by the teacher though; this would have been about 7 or 8 years old and I particularly recall listening to Stig of the dump (classic) and Charlie and the chocolate factory. I've always been a keen reader and I do read to my daughter but as she's not yet 2 they are fairly basic stories.

It also is a good idea for Dads to read to children as there seem to be very few male teachers at Infant/Junior schools these days.

I don't know if my dad read to me. Mum definitely did. My little one gets read to every night by either parent. It just depends who happens to be putting her to bed that night.
